Aina Kari

Aina Kari reimagines the Persian tradition of mirror mosaic decoration, where surfaces are adorned with fragments of mirror glass. Originating from 15th-century Venetian glassmakers who cut small mirrors from blown glass cylinders, these fragile pieces were transported by Armenian silk traders to Persia. Despite many arriving broken, their light-refracting qualities ensured they were repurposed as art.

The brand, founded by Marina Cighir, is a tribute to Italian craftsmanship. Returning to Treviso, near Venice, Marina combines her international design experience with local artisanal skills. Her creations vases, lighting and chandeliers blend Venetian artistry with contemporary style, resulting in pieces that are both timeless and modern.
