DESCRIPTION

The Icaro 2-door wooden cabinet has a frame in painted steel with feet and bar handles in shaped steel rod; These gets matt lacquered and can be had in several different colors. On the outside, however, there are three kissy-face design languages: wisteria; "vintage" gold leaf; and storm. The darker bronze coat serves as the background for the classic gold leaf design, which is hand-applied whole. Although apparently chaotic, the decoration is skilful, with the delicate gold leaf carefully positioned so that the light reflects correctly. The drawing of wisteria flowers – The “wisteria” design involves pouring liquid chalk onto a light coat and then hand painting, according to a pre-established pouncing scheme, the wisteria flowers and vines on a mother-of-pearl base coat. The "storm" decoration was created using chalk with the addition of acrylic paint and a decorative spatula, giving a 3D effect reminiscent of the decor from the era of Art Deco. Colours are augmented by the use of chalk putty, which is spread across the base layer using a spatula, with the brush reserved for the shop's detail work: the cabinet's face is transformed into a veritable work of art, like a bas-relief, a light and airy decoration.
