DESCRIPTION
This is a detailed sculpture made by Galleria Romanelli of the head of Lacoon which is from the famous marble group in the Vatican Museum. Originally, the set of statues tells the very sad story of Lacoon from Homer’s Odyssey, where he was tortured by Greek gods during the Trojan War with difficulty although bravely fought against them.
