Made by Romanelli workshop talent which is shown in crafting this beautiful bust that shows their ability in art. Made wholly from gypsum, it is a phenomenal copy of Michelangelo’s face done by Daniele da Volterra (1509-1566) under the commission of Leonardo Buonarroti. The true sculpture is held at the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence now. This one shows an old man’s likeness aged by time, as if observing everything with the wide open eyes of wisdom gained through many years’ worth of effort put into artistic creation after lifetime experiences reflected on them.
