Looking at the shape and design of this bowl, one can tell that it draws its inspiration from madrepore fossils. The exterior surface is oval and has a pearlite color caused by the use of biscuit porcelain which has not been glazed. The long wavy lines on this part of the vessel create an interesting tactile experience for anyone who touches them. What is even more captivating lies inside: a handcrafted interior that leaves nothing to be desired, complete with lustrous platinum details laid over rich 22kt gold leaf. The sheeny metallic finish brings out the stark contrast between its own bright shade and the dull white backdrop formed by unfired ceramics; thus producing such an arresting blend of hues and textures in one item.
