DESCRIPTION
This bowl was inspired by madrepore fossils’ intricate patterns, making it oval-shaped represents an harmonious combination between conventional craftsmanship and daring leading edge design. It has shell-white outer surface decorated with irregularly shaped circular patterns highlighted by ridges that mimic fossils of corals. The “biscuit” firing method was used to create this piece which gives its outside a striking tactile feel characterized by roughness or smoothness in different areas. On the other hand, there is a stunning visual contrast provided for inlaying a layer made from 23kt gold leaf onto the interior surface. This dynamic composition can thrive as an accent on any side table when placed within various interior spaces such as living rooms or bedrooms etc., not forgetting to mention low shelves as well as coffee table centerpieces.
