DESCRIPTION
Designed for Bitossi in an exclusive collection by the Italian architect Ettore Sottsass, the unconventional vase stands on a minimalist base-a cylinder sandwiched between two disks. The entire design splotch is outlined with color blocks. A soft pearly blue glaze finishes the base and body, whereas the top has been covered in a deep black matte coat. The net effect is a sudden energy that brings this piece right up to date all by itself, making it quite apart from any modern décor.
