DESCRIPTION
The sculpture by Raffaello Romanelli stands as a modern version of the one made by Romano Romanelli in 1929-31, carrying the same name. It is made of plaster and pays close attention to accuracy in anatomy which is evident through small things like muscles as well as the position that is similar to that of a sportsman’s body. In order to give it a more contemporary feel, a pair of athletic spectacles has been included thus combining both old times with new ones while retaining some aspects from each period.
