The flagship article of the Tondo Doni collection 2008, "Metropolis," is a masterpiece crafted from 15 kilograms of pure crystal containing over 24% lead. Hand-blown and meticulously cut, it stands at an impressive height of 40 cm. A paradigm of cosmopolitan design, "Metropolis" embodies conceptual aesthetics, symbolizing aspirations for growth and construction while serving as a metaphor for absolute peace. Suspended between cubism and modernism, this vase is produced in a limited edition of 500 numbered pieces, chosen by Mario Cioni & C., the author of the Tondo Doni and Mario Cioni collections, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its founding in 1958.
