DESCRIPTION
With its white clay finish, this surprising cylindrical vase--one of just 199 made--was designed in 1953 by Bitossi Magnum's creative director at the time, Aldo Londi. Indeed, its geometric decoration is evident in the turquoise stripe at the bottom, which then rises up to become a series of parallel turquoise-dyed thin stripes. The lines appear darker towards each other and create an intriguing movement.
