Aina Kari reimagines the Persian tradition of mirror mosaic decoration, where surfaces are adorned with fragments of mirror glass. Originating from 15th-century Venetian glassmakers who cut small mirrors from blown glass cylinders, these fragile pieces were transported by Armenian silk traders to Persia.
