DESCRIPTION
The Callipygian Venus is also known as Venus Callipyge, Aphrodite Kallipygos or Venus Kallipygos. It is a handmade plaster piece inspired by an original Roman artwork from around the 1st or 2nd century AD. The National Archaeological Museum in Naples houses the original masterpiece.
